Patent Leather, PU leather
High-gloss leather should be maintained different than normal leather. Leather grease, care lotion or shoes cremes are not the right care, because the sealing oft he surface makes soaking in impossible.
The leather lies underneath the coating layer, therefore the care cant penetrate it.
The coating layer itself would be damaged by the leather care, possibly containing solvents harm the coating layer and it could turn matt or even sticky.
It is best to prevent bigger scratches, because it can hardly be repaired. besten versucht man, größere Kratzer zu vermeiden, da sie kaum noch auszubessern sind.
Cleaning
It is best to clean your patent leather shoes with only a damp cotton cloth or a microfiber cloth. Cleaning solutions dry out the paint surface and make it brittle.
Care
Only special cleaning solutions of the different manufactors should be used.
Apply with a soft cloth, after shortly letting it soak in, use a polishing cloth.
Multible applications improve results.
